Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we are unable to show parents and visitors around our lovely school.
Please watch the videos below to learn more about our school or contact us on 01904 555 365 to arrange a telephone meeting with our headteacher, Miss Richards.
Our school is a warm and relaxed environment in which children can thrive in every way, becoming independent and confident learners. We have high expectations of our pupils and, because they feel safe and valued within a family atmosphere, they are able to meet and exceed those expectations.
We are fortunate to have talented and dedicated staff who frequently go that extra mile for individual children and the school as a whole, offering a rich and varied curriculum. We have one of the best pupil to adult ratios in the local area (particularly at Early Years in which there are only 14 children to two adults) and this means that our children are given the very best care and attention.
A strong partnership between family and school is one of the most important factors for wellbeing in a child of primary age. For this reason, we welcome the whole family to our school community and work closely together.
This website will give you a flavour of what we offer. Our Twitter account, which is publicly accessible, also shows a taster of the different activities we offer our children. Please have a look at https://twitter.com/rufforthschool. Our archive of weekly school newsletters also aims to provide you with a real insight into our everyday life here at Rufforth Primary so please do also browse through these.
For those of you interested in choosing Rufforth as your child's primary school, please do ring us to arrange a meeting. We take in children from both within and without the school catchment area and I would be thrilled to personally share with you what a great school we are.
